Gts sidestands should be melted down and recycled as door stops

Finally got it back, good as new except you can see a few little marks around the badge where he hasn't put it back EXACLTY WHERE THE OTHER ONE WAS!!!! Rolling Eyes

that really sucks. I just dropped mine recently. I was turning into a gravel parking lot and lost control as soon as my tires hit the gravel. Its just battle scars.

Sidestands should be removed on the GTS !
I've had an SR500 with a Japanese sidestand - never a problem; but those italian sidestands are disasters waiting to happen !

it's all to do with euro regulations, eurocrats are scared we'll forget to put our sidestands up, go round a corner and pivot on it and kill ourselves.........nice of them to care Cool

the options they came up with to let manufacurers fit side stands to powered two wheelers was to either have the side stand self retracting (vespa gts, gilera runner) or have an interlock fitted to prevent the engine being started with the side stand down (gilera nexus)

as i said earlier in the thread i took my side stand off that way i won't forget to put it up and it won't self retract if a cat farts near it and send the scooter crashing to the ground.

someone said sell the sidestand to the yanks.
he was right, i was going to order one for mine but am very glad now that i didn't.
