Should it not be the CR8EIX as listed on the NGK site and the Scootertrap.com site for the GTS250ie and not the CR9EIX as you say?

cr9eix will run a bit 'colder' than a cr8eix which is a 'hotter' plug

i would go for the cr9eix, i runs a bit cooler, but the cr8eix is just as good,
if you can get a 9 then great if not the 8 will do just as good a job

my gt 125 runs a cr8eix starts and idles a lot smooter, a bit better on acceleration and last twice as long as a regular plug

It should be a CR8EB in the 250 models (or a champion RG4PHP)

I personally wouldnt run a 9 unless the engine was tuned as it wont be doing any good and will actually be shortening its life... ideally you want the plug to run as hot as it can but without getting too hot and causing pre-detonation or melting... running a cooler plug in a engine not meant for it will mean it carbons up quicker and fails sooner.

Retail on NGKs iridiums is £10 a go, but the normal selling price is about £6 each... and to be fair not much more expensive than the proper ones recommended the EBs...

The Denso IU24A is probably the best iridium plug you can get and still reasonably affordable @ About £10 a go... its finer than NGKs offering and uses a short earth design to maximise the spark possible, but it doesnt last the time a NGK one does so ideally needs replacing as you would a normal plug... you could go silly and get Beru silver plugs or even surface discharge, but you wont get a gain from them or such a low output engine.

As the standard plugs are so expensive now @ about £5 each, you might as well really spend the extra £1 and go iridium... not much to loose have ya? Question

No probs...

Ive spoken to the suppliers we use...

If i buy in 1 they are £4.80 each

If i buy 5 at a time they drop to £4.25 each

and if i get 10 they are £3.85 each

So if they cost me £3.85 with some P&P it would work out about £4.50 in total?

Is that any good to ya... Confused
