Open the seat, remove the seat tub and you can now get to it the best possible... |

I just couldn't get anywhere near it with a spanner, guess I may need a differnt tool to get at it? _________________

Use the plug box spanner supplied in the tool kit (stowed in glovebox under black square cover.
1. Lift seat, remove stowage and pull HT cap of spark plug carefully (awkward).
2. Insert box spanner over the plug
3. Insert screwdriver or short tommy bar though hole in end of box spanner and turn in the appropriate direction to undo (lefty lucy, righty tighty)
4. Movement is restricted by lack of space so you will need to remove and re-insert screwdiver/tommy bar continiously to unable you to get it loose.
5. Once it is loose, screw box spanner by hand until plug is free and clear of cylinder head.
6. Take great care when replacing the new plug not to cross thread the cylinder head this would be a very expensive mistake, I insert the plug by hand very carefully and ensure that it screws in easily by hand before applying any force with the box spanner (Don't over tighten this could also strip the thread)
Hope this helps! This wasnt written to insult your intelligence just guide you in all aspects of the task. |

If I find any I let you know if you've insulted it.
In all honesty I'd completely forgotten about the tools in the glove box, they are there and I used them once when I first got the scoot, so thanks for your help... _________________
