Hi folks, have had my gts for a week now, and I am very pleased with it, but my clock is very dim on a certain digit, ie 18:00 will be faded on the right hand bit of the 8, but when you first turn the ignition on, and all the lights and lcd panel all lights up, all the digits are clear and solid!

also another problem, there is a wobble on the front end, and if you dont grip too hard one handed, the handle bars woble quite a lot, and if you take both hands off the hadlebars, it wobbles really bad and goes of the the right!
also proberly not a problem, but as the standard exhaust is soooooo bloody quiet, when I pull up with the brakes on, thats all I can hear, the brakes working and the front one is noisier than the rear, but thats proberly cos the front is nearer to hear!

also one last thing, I am not a great fan on the standard exhust, its just too quiet, and also dont really like the look of it either! and also as its made by vespa, proberly wont last that long before it rusts away! but when i was talking to the piaggio dealer, I asked about weather i could have a pm or scorpion pipe put on, and they said that it would invalidate my 2 year warranty and that it wouldnt do my scooter any good anyway! but plenty of people have pm's and scorpions, so, whats the score with the warranty side, would they honour the warranty with a aftermarket pipe on?

go back to dealer about faded light .
mine does wobble when take one hand off at low speeds and fully loaded .
after market pipe will proberly make warrenty void , down to each dealer if he will let you get away with it.
if you keep standard pipe buy a spare gasket and tools to get exhaust off !! Wink

well a&r's told me that the pm would invalidate my waranty so i suppose they wont turn a blind eye to it! mind you i dont really want to get my machine serviced there! whats the piaggio dealer like in norwich?

also I dont think my machine will have the same problem with the exhausts as mine is brand new and has a larger exhaust clamp.

Mine wobbles like a pissed puppy........Tip though....doesn't on acceleration so if you have to take a hand off (put visor down) open it up slightly whilst you do it.

Dash will be sorted if its playing up chap... like the boss told ya today Wink Once ya bring it down so we can see it, warranty will cover a new one no problems.

All GTS wobble slightly when you take your hands off the bars, they have a lot of weight high up and small wheels... made worse by a full chrome kit. Heavier bar ends help but like has been said on here too, they all do it to a degree... it will never be perfect.

And as for the exhausts, i never said it WOULD invalidate the warranty, just it COULD... Fit one, have no related issues and i dont care... but if you get problems caused by the exhaust then there is potential for hassle... the std bike ecu is mapped for a restrictive exhaust with a catalyst, replace it and the fueling is wrong, hence the reason theres already 3 different remap boxes available for it... just fit the exhaust and be one of the unlucky ones that get burnt valves, preignition damage etc etc then dont expect us to lie to get it sorted free of charge. If we went round saying yes fit performance parts and it doesnt effect warranty, and piaggio found out we wouldnt be master dealers for long Sad

As with all bikes we sell and modify... we wont tell them, as long as they dont ask Wink

Its a gamble only you can decide... Moonrakers is the norwich dealership...and yes they are good lads too. Wink

Firstly... if you dont want us to service ya bike, take it elsewhere... no-ones gonna make you bring it back! Razz Laughing Laughing Laughing

And yes yours already has the modified downpipe fitted, just make sure you replace the gasket EVERY time its removed or it can still fail, although now it wont melt the brake line and seat release cable... just get loud and cover lots in soot! Wink

thomas I never said you told me about the exhaust, it was the woman in the shop who told me about the exhaust would invalidate my warranty, maybe i should of spoke to you in the first place! somthing about mokeys and organ grinders i suppose lol! and reguarding you servicing it, well maybe i shouldnt of said that! Embarassed but the reason i said that was cos loads of people have told me to steer clear of you! (not you pesonaly, but the shop) but as you know, I havnt listemed cos its already booked in! so please exuse my previous post! I think I will pass my own judgement on yourselves!
