i like those trailers a lot but i've always wondered if there was a speed limit you're "supposed" to stick to when towing one, that would take the edge off it for me.......

it's nice to know that it handled ok but my point is what if plod pulled you doing "90 plus in the outside lane" and then proceeded to tell you the speed limit for a bike pulling a trailor was 50mph like that of a car towing a caravan.......

that's going to be a whole heap of points, if not a ban Embarassed

Someone needs to get their head in the book as the 60 limit may not appliy to bikes/scoots.

Have you noticed the distinct lack of cops on the motorway lately?
I think it's great, use the ploice where they are needed and employ civilians to sweep up the roadkill from the Motorway.
And the likes of us are left to get on with it at the unoffcial 90 limit.
99mph is a ticket, 100mph is a ban.

just looked in highway code and this is what it says about a bike to tow a trailer

you must have a full license
engine size over 125cc
trailer less than a 1 meter wide
less than 2.5 meters from rear of trailer and the motorcycles rear axel
the laden weight of trailer is not greater than 150kg or two thirds of kerbside weight of the motorcycle (which ever is less)
the motorcycle is clearly marked with its kerbside weight
the trailer is marked clearly with its unladen weight
the load of the trailer is securly fastened
you tow no more than one trailer
you do not carry a passenger in the trailer
you obey the lower speed limits that apply to all vehicles towing trailers 50mph on single carrigeways, 60mph on dual carrigeways and motorways
you do not use the right hand lane of a motorway that has more than two lane

i love the outside lane too much. Twisted Evil

ive seen a caravan go over and i wouldnt want a tank slapper in the m6 with a trailer attatched.

not very nice. so i think idd slow down to within the limit on that one.
