I'm doing This as well 161 miles from morecambe on my gt 125 on a roads  cant wait and ive got better tent that dont leak

saw your scoot on the campsite at kelso, didn't see you (not that i'd know you anyway ) did your tent leak at kelso, that was a test for any tent

i use one of these......
coleman epsilon 2
gavskin uses the epsilon 3, bigger but still packs small and light and they're about as waterproof as you can get
£70 - £80 for the 2 about £90 for the 3

looking around it seems this years version of the epsilon is now the "Coleman Avior X2 Backpacking Tent" and it's avaliable from here:-

having said that if you can get an epsilon it'll be "last years model" and should be a bit cheaper (just looks like a colour change to me!)
