er..........no!

it's an island, joined to the mainland by a causeway called "the strood" which floods at high tide.

a few folks try to cross at high tide every year instead of sitting in the pub waiting for the tide to turn and find the water is deeper than it looks Laughing

DVLC who are the organisers usually put a link to the tide tables on their website, i'll look it up now Cool

looks like high tide for fri 5th sept 2008 is at 16:16 and the causeway "may be covered"
