|
|
Ive stuck my allen key in and boy have I tried undoing those bolts, but they wont budge. It feels like the key will snap, is this normal and should I just put a bar on the end and really give it grief or should they just unscrew no problem, please?
Want to put my Jettin bar ends on |

Yes they do lock on very tight....... They best way is to wrap the bar ends with a cloth and get the large adjustable pliers and loosen the bar ends off first...... |

sometimes tightening a nut/bolt slightly will actually loosen it. _________________

When something is that tight a few taps with a hammer will sometimes get it moving. Hit the end of the Allen key.

Well, done all of the above and apart from snapping one allen key and severely twisting another no use. Did try the cloth round a bar end and it moved a bit then stuck fast, it even marked the chrome through a thick cloth its that tight!
Think a trip to dealers might be in order, if they break it then its not my fault |

Did you try to do it up slightly and then undo it?
Normally works for me. _________________

try and get a good quality allen key and cut the short bit to a minimum and try that to cut down the twisting , when cutting it down dont let it get too hot as this afects the temper in the steel and it will be too soft _________________ Darkside, Norwich Broadsmen SC
