Not them ones sweetheart. I use them myself and they have a lifetime warranty.
And besides that not everyone can afford or obtain snap-on or bluepoint. _________________

I certainly can't afford snap on - never even herd of blue point.
I try buying bahco. Always use bahco pliers, snips and insulated screwdrivers for my work, tried the cheep stuff and just crap. Got a socket set in garage from halfords, Chocolate!
It pay's to buy quality, defo. Tried the cheap Lambretta spares too - chocolate.
Got cheap alloys for the car - pittng already and not even winter! Shite! That's what you get for being a cheap skate I suppose! _________________ GTS 300 is here and I LOVE IT!!!

er...............i use halfords professional sockets and they seem fine to me.....
argos elizabeth duke spanners, now there's some shit
i'd like to buy snap-on, facom, teng or similar quality tools i really would, nothing would please me more than a giant roller tool chest full of wondrous shiny craftsman quality tools all pristine, laid out in order like an army lined up to do mechanical battle, but cost is prohibitive _________________

I managed to get my bar ends off no problem with my crapy CK allen key's.
Next problem how do I get the grips off? Want to put heated grips on, but now I'm thinking of getting the wrap around ones on, because I can't see how they can come off? _________________ GTS 300 is here and I LOVE IT!!!

What he said, I don't know of a way of getting them off so you can re-use them... _________________

o dear don't think I fancy doing that! Had to do that with the lammy ones.
Has anyone got any feedback on the wrap around ones? How much for a new set of grips if I don't like the heated ones? _________________ GTS 300 is here and I LOVE IT!!!

If you have access to a compressor blow the air in between the grip and the bar. _________________ GTS 250+PX 200+Dragster & Runner 180+ Hexagon 125+Hexaphoon project.

Finally got them off... the left hand one came off easily by loosening the bar end with grips as advised Ta for that.
However, the right hand one wouldnt budge, got the bar end loose but the allen bolt stayed put. Gave it hell with the allen keys, got some decent short ones and eventually the bolt rounded off
So, a bit of drilling out the end of the bolt and some hacksawing got the head of the bolt off, then pulled bar end off and used molegrips to get the rest of the bolt out. The end of it was rusty and very dry
New ones look good mind, but the old ones are scrap |
