Yes easy enough to fit, you can take power direct from the glovebox up front... i just dont personally like the "feel" of the actual grips, as they make the bars feel vague... but the lovely warm hands on a freezing cold day is a treat |

Most are made by the same people... but i would try stick with oxford or motrax as both sell all the bits seperately so theres no need to buy a whole new kit again just for a grip etc...
The new oxford ones have a nice slim line control panel so makes fitting easier... but any will do, find the best deal on a branded set and they will do nicely. |

I have the Oxford ones, but have ditched the control panel. Just have a little toggle switch by my left index finger to flick the heating on and off as necessary. |

I managed to get bar end's off no bother. But how do you get the grips off?
Making me consider buying the wrap around type? _________________ GTS 300 is here and I LOVE IT!!!

i just took bar ends off, worked a thin allen key between grip and bar and sprayed in some surface cleaner, worked all way round grip doing this then slid grip off, have to work quick though as surface cleaner evaporates quickly and glue re-sticks
the surface cleaner just unsticks the glue for a while _________________

Right I need some help here!
I have got the oxford grips. I have managed to get off both original grips. But on the throttle side I'm not sure if I have to remove the plastic piaggio throttle bit or leave it on????? If I leave it on it's going to be a nightmare to get the new grip over the plastic olive bit!! Don't want to break it and be totally screwed!
Another thing where exactly did you rob the power from? I was going try run straight to battery, say's it only switches on when it's drawing at least 13volts! Was going to split the cable supplied so I could feed it in then crimp it back together. But I would feel better if I robbed it from ignition, so I know it's off!
I've removed headset and nearly removed the tool box - Ideally I would like to run all the cables internaly, not sure if the handlebar cables will be fine once headset is back on so any experience would be great!!
Would like to mount the contol panel on the left Knee pad. Was thinking about cutting out a hole and mounting it from the inside so it looks more flush, although there is the problem of making it look as rough as a badgers arse!
Can't see where else I can mount it?
Any pointers would be great as my scooter is in bits in the garage. Hubby not impressed cause his car is staying out tonight _________________ GTS 300 is here and I LOVE IT!!!

Are they the new style grips with digital switch or the old style rotary switch?
You need to run them off the battery, nothing will realistically take the additional load the grips will use when on high settings.... last thing you need is to end up riding a fire ball
If you want to do it via the ignition, then wire the grips to a direct battery feed via a 30amp relay, and use the ignition to switch that on and off... |

I take it that all the cable will be fine hidden away and I'll get the headset back on no problem?
Any suggestions where to fit controller other than cut out the knee pad?
O and do I need to take the piaggio throttle bit off or will I just ram the new grip ontop of it? _________________ GTS 300 is here and I LOVE IT!!!

Yeah wiring will be fine under the headlight covers, plenty of room... aslong as you dont have a HID headlight kit that is...
If it was me i would probably stick the controller in the glovebox, as im not a fan of things added on the outside, and its not often you want to adjust one anyway, once on they tend to be left on until you get somewhere...
...but thats upto you really.
When you take the throttle grip off, you might find the original plastic tube has a ridge at the end, make sure you smooth this down before trying to fit the heated grip or youll just end up breaking something |
