cos I,m not.Woolacombe,a 420 mile round trip was pure torture. There isn't anywhere on the saddle of my GTS that feels comfortable.I keep sliding forward never feel like I'm sitting in the bike, more like I'm about to slide off. Another thing is the vibration.Over 80 and it's almost enough to shake me off.At lower speeds it sends my right hand to sleep, did it twice on the way back from wooly.Methinks tyres, still running savas, but any advice on curing either problem very welcome.Got another long run to Hemsby coming up.Mick. |

Did the dealer balance the wheels, some thinks it's not necessary, IT IS.
Also consider some heavier bar end weights, rainham boy has done a nice set for a few guys... _________________

as smudger said balance the wheels (front and back) did mine and a big improvement and check the stearing bearings as sometimes they are a little loose _________________ Darkside, Norwich Broadsmen SC

I have a Sava on the front of my GTS250 its noisy at low speeds ( like a landrover with off road tyres) and makes the handle bars vibrate and wobble but at speed its smooth and noise free.
My GTS is the smoothest, quietest and most comfortable scooter at speed that i have owned during my 25+ years of scootering and I've obviously experienced numerious models of scooter auto and traditional. So there in my opinion must be something more sinister going on to make it that uncomfortable and rough at speed. |

We did 320 miles to Wooly and back in a day, and was really comfy on the GTV. Did about 210 on the PX today and my arse feels like its been shafted by the Vespa |

never had a problem sliding about on the GTs seat......
haven't "smartened it up a bit" with some armourall polish or anything have you??? i've known folks do that and seat is slippery as hell
i've had my hands get pins and needles before but it was down to the wrist strap of my glove being adjusted to tight not vibration....
just trying a few wildcards, no offence meant _________________

Cheers for the intrest. It's a 55 plate with 3k miles.Original Savas with weights on the wheels,as it came from the factory I presume.Tyre press 2 bar but I have put in puncture sealant.Don't think it's a steering problem but I'll get it checked anyway.I realy think It's a tyre problem but I'm no expert. But the saddle is a nightmare.Read on a Yank site about tilting back a GTV saddle to cure the sliding forward, but can't see how to do it on a GTS.All in all depite the probs, still the best scooter I've ever owned.Absolutly love it.Mick. |

Loose the Savas, Pilot Sports, Conti Twists or Pirelli GTS's will see you right
No idea whats wrong with your saddle???? My bum did get sore on the way to Liege but that was a lot of miles...
I did see a post on the yankee site (I think) about adding a gel pack to the seat for some added comfort but never heard of anyone sliding off a GTS seat b4 _________________

i think all they done was to fit longer bolts to the seat hinge to allow for the washers/spacers they put between hinge and body to jack the front of the seat up to change the angle
could be worth a go...... _________________

I bought a beige GTS seat from flebay and had it recovered in marine grade faux leather.
Still get arse ache but it's a lot better to move about on while riding. |

I've done the same, well bought the seat, now need the £££'s to get it recovered.
Thinking of adding a gel pad for added comfort.. _________________
