A mate of mine moved to Mercia Spain last year with his P2 Series Special, not far from Orihuela, it would be a hell of a ride, hopefully in the SUN? _________________ GTS250 its the future!!! A club wi owt a name sc. Bamberbridge. |

Have been looking at this one for a while.
Discussed it with John & we thought if we caught the Portsmouth - Santander ferry going out on Wed 13th coming back Mon 18th the cost is £156 for 2 on a scooter.
This would save over 1000 miles of riding through France. So what we pay for the ferry would be offset by the savings on fuel
As it looks unlikely that we will be going to any Southern Euro Rallies next year, this could be our only chance for warm weather

The more I think about it the more i'm liking the idea
For a start it is in Southern Spain, so should be hot
Had a look at stop offs on the way there & back, have found a couple of lovely camp sites, not far from Madrid. Check them out:
http://www.campingsonline.com/aranjuez/index.asp
(This one has loads of facilities)
http://www.monteholiday.com/camping%20english.htm
(This is a quiet site with stunning scenery, as it's in the mountains. Have also got the option of Bungalows which are the same price as camping)
Got a feeling I'm defo doing this one _________________

I'll dig out my maps and rough guide for you then chevy. southern spain is well hot, and dusty infact I reckon they must manufacture dust there. I dont know where the rally is but if near Almeria you could always visit the area where they filmed the spaghetti westerns the film sets are still there. |

this could be the one for me as well , looking at the boat and the price £118 with the old reclining seat aint bad , with the cabin worked out £256 for 2 sharing not sure if we got a 4 berth it would work out cheaper for everyone?
looking a good bet _________________ GTS OWNERS CLUB

I know it costs a bit more but you better off getting a cabin as you can dump all your kit in there and go and have a kip if you want one. I done loads of ferries kipping on seats and believe me nothing better than a proper bed as you get up raring to go. |

can you book like 4 scooters, 4 riders into a 4 berth cabin on the websites or do you have to do it over the phone? _________________
