It will be easier if you remove the footpegs from the scoot, I think you need a TX5 bit to remove the 2 screws. To separate the footpeg from the folding mechanism you have to remove two pins, the large pivot pin at the front of the footpeg that I have circled (you should be able to tap it out using a screwdriver or something similar), and a small pin about mid way down the footpeg, holding the arm that I have arrowed in place (this is held in place by an E-clip) the footpeg will then be separated from the mechanism. A word of warning, when reassembling the big pivot pin it is really tricky to get the pin to go through the spring (took me about half a hour of pissing about).

I found this easy, just don't try and put the pin back in with tension on the spring, put the pin back without tension on the spring then clip the spring into position, you'll see what I mean when you get it apart. _________________
