Just been on the phone to the insurance company. should have a hire bike before

they reckon due to it be filterng it normally goes 50 50 so ive instructed my insurance company to sort me out then go after her to claim it back (dont want to be locked in a fight without a bike)

my local garage said is it worth losing your no claims over, he doesnt seem to understand to get it back to how it was before would be grands but i think due to value of the bike i dont have a choice really

oh yer for all you wannabies the seat has a 1.5 cm tear in it lol Laughing

There was a thread recently about a precedent set in court that puts the onus on the motorist, no more 50/50, sounds like your insurance company isn't clued up. Idea

Ditch your insurance company and get Rider Support on the case as they take no shit from anyone as they are bikers themselves I cannot sing their praises high enough as they turned things around for me BIG time when I had a serious accident a few years ago.........for christ sake they even claimed for my Mrs having to wipe my arse ( not a nice task!!) as my arms were bust, they push the insurance companies along and act on your behalf......and it's free Wink

Know what your driving at, I struggle to see a scooter in the pointy plastic more modern types, I wouldnt have one myself, and yes I know GTS are only cosmetically like a PX, buts thats exactly why Piaggio made them that shape, to appeal to scooterists of that mind set. Personally I dont give a toss what anyone rides as long as there ridden, after all theres only 2 types of scooter, ridden ones and the other more useless type Wink

Just read this Monty - yikes - glad you're ok!

Interesting points made in this thread, not to hijack the messages of goodwill, but perhaps a sticky thread somewhere with post-accident advice should be made, coz I wouldn't know what to do either.

Re. your aches and pains, Mont, don't underestimate them and get stuff checked out (and documented) asap, both for insurance and for your continued good health.

Once again - glad you're ok! Wink
