Done a couple of rallies on a 250MP3 now and, though it's not a huge diff, I couldn't keep up with the 250s for acceleration or top speed - it's bigger innit? There wasn't much in it, though, and having me lead the way meant they didn't have to keep looking in the mirrors for me disappearing and they didn't grumble about being held up much
Having said that, I don't get wet or cold (have a cut-down medium screen) and can store a shed load.
Also, I never have trouble pulling away from cars or filtering with smaller bikes in traffic.
I'm thinking about a Fuoco one day - I think it would have enough grunt, but I worry about manoeverability in traffic. _________________ Do two and 1/4 rallies mean I'm not a scoot noob anymore? |

MP3 250
Front 12"
Rear 12"
Length 2130mm
Width 745mm
Wheelbase 1490mm
Seat height 780mm
Weight 204kg
MP3 400
Front 12"
Rear 14"
Length 2190mm
Width 745mm
Wheelbase 1550mm
Seat height 785mm
Weight 244kg
Fuoco 500
Front 12"
Rear 14"
Length 2160mm
Width 775mm
Wheelbase 1550mm
Seat height 790mm
Weight 238kg
So going from my 250 to a Fuoco would mean
Rear +2"
Length +30mm
Width +30mm
Wheelbase +60mm
Seat height +10mm
Weight +34kg
Not enormous differences, but the 250MP3 is already on the lower end of the nippy scale for scooters, being kind. I love it and I rarely have problems winding around the traffic coming into London, though *shrug*.
Even given the potential issues I can guarantee I'll be taking a Fuoco test ride the instant my licence allows: it's the only way to know innit _________________ Do two and 1/4 rallies mean I'm not a scoot noob anymore? |
