Big flyscreen or small - whaddya think? I just bought myself the big one but I'm kind of worried that it may be tooooo big. Aparently you can't exceed 100kmph
What's the point of getting one of these screens if it limits your speed? What are Vespa playing at? I thought they were meant to increase your mph by cutting wind resistance.
AAAArgh!
Any ideas/opinions would be much appreciated. |

The small "fly" screen adds 5mph to your top end. not sure about the tall ones? _________________ Leave Luck To Heaven |

Thanks - I knew the small flyscreen was aerodynamic - I'm more concerned as to the benefits of the bigger one that I just bought. Think I may have bought a bit of a turkey. |

I'm more than happy for all you small flyscreen devotees getting your extra 5mph. What I'd love to know is what the benefits of the bigger screen are - if any - before I start modding it with my jigsaw |

never had the tall flyscreen. But what I can tell you from my concept with the small screen is before i installed my flyscreen the wind was hitting my chest area, now the wind is lifted up to my face so now i have to use my helmet with the visor down to pertect my eyes more from watering.I would have like to seen my screen 2" taller as of right now the top sits 8" off of the headlight, would be nice 10" So before u bring out de jigsaw keep in mine i'm 5'6" tall.I hope this helped some. |

I think the small one looks nice..
The big one i do not like...Might be good to cover you but it does cut off some miles for sure. _________________ Yiannis

Got my mate in his furniture workshop to cut a dash through the oversized screen and it now looks and feels sooo much better. I'm 6'2" so the new 40cm high screen is perfect for protecting me from the wind and rain and aso keeps the digits protected from windchill. I can hide behind it or pop my snout above it (visor up - no wind blast!) depending on the weather conditions.
Hiding behind it definitely boosts my top speed and acceleration - so bring on the jigsaws. Will post a pic if you like - let me know and I'll try to figure out how! |

well all about this 5mph extra bit, i fitted my screen while i was running in, so dont know what my top speed without it and im too lazy to take it off! but I only get about 80mph and have seen 85mph and thats on the speedo! also i have never felt the rev limiter kick in either!
hey phil what is ur screen like? _________________ Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.

Dont expect to see your true top speed till youve done well over 1K an probably nearer 2K. The engine will free up and run a lot better. _________________
