Hi Barry, the tinted screen looks alright, Scooterwest do ship to the UK, I got my rally style panel stripes from them, their website postal charges quoted are high but if you email them they'll sort out a better rate. Top chaps.

It's amazing how quickly you get used to having the extra speed the GTS/GTV250 delivers, just remind yourself of driving into a head on wind two up on the PX when you think you're going slow now! I was told that the GTV is slightly slower than the GTS, can't see why as it's the same engine.

Hi Barry, I have experienced just the same as you in the past but I can confirm some of your findings and If I may add a few of my own...

My GTS (RIP) never hit more than 80 ish (indicated) true about 68 -70.

I had an 06 X9 250 that topped out at 92mph indicated Gps confirmed at 87. Brillaint bike .

I had an X8 250 and flew to an idicated 90 fantastic load carrying but a bit noisy...

both the X9 and X8 had approx 6000 miles on each when i sold them.

I also have a now fully run in Gilera Nexus 300 and i have to say to date I've had a very respectable 96 indicated GPS confirmed at 89 mph and it still has some lossening up to do only having just covered 1100 miles. It's acceleration is quite impressive and the handling is very good. Wind noice is negligable. Best scooter (and it is a scooter ...hahahahaha) I've ever owned. I reckon with a pm pipe or similar , currently looking at the GPR specific for the 300 and a variator will easily see mid 90's and the twist of a grip.

I think the GTV looks spot on as it left the factory, the screen that comes fitted looks the better than any cut down or aftermarket one. 65/70 ish is nt that bad fully loaded 2 up
