such a warm welcome!
Martyn, Its the Ice and Snow...You know, I didn't really notice the ratio of men to women until I posted a message. I guess there' are not that many girls that ride 250 GTS?
So, as an American here, I realize I am out numbered. and I'm cool with that. Heck, we get all our cool stuff from Europe...Doc Martens, Guiness, Vespas, Lagavulin to name a few things...Often, I don't like to admit how American I am but I will share anyway. I did a very American thing recently (last night)...deep breath.
I purchased a Harley Davidson!
No no no, its not what you're thinking. I'm not going to wear ill-fitting leather, get fat and ride bitch behind some bald guy going through a mid life crisis on 1000cc's of inefficient steel.
I, my friends, purchased a Harley Davidson Scooter! Yes yes yes, they made a scooter. From 1960-1965 they manufactured approximately 5,000. Known as the "Harley Davidson Topper". There are about 100, from what I can tell, that are running/surfaced today.
a working one...that some guy paid $10,800 for.

Hello and welcome
I must admit when I read your screen name I read it as Cats-Kill-NY-Rider Kinda disappointed now
Harley Scooter eh? I think most bike manufacturers made a scooter @ some point in the 50's & 60's.
BTW your photos look nothing like Scotland, it's not raining! _________________

Smudger, you're not the first person to say/think that..
The Hog: I thought he was rather charming looking...but then again I've always had strange taste. Here is a restored one on Youtube...check out how it starts!
