The one Iv'e seen is mounted on the left hand black bit at the top of the glovebox.

A live or a switched live (switched by the Vespa ignition switch) could be taken from the alarm wiring/socket which as it happens, is right under that black panel.

Just to entice folks, the Piaggio Alarm is under £90 and is plug and play.
It has a keyfob and goes "blip blip" with flashing indicators and flashing L.E.D and everything and when its armed and you boot your scoot it goes "whoo whar whoo whar" really loud. Very Happy

I've been using a Tom Tom Rider on my GTS since Christmas and I mounted mine on the mirror stem. It's a bit of a loose fit so I super glued mine in the right position. I've not bothered wiring mine in because you get a good six hours on a charge so it does for virtually all rallies.

When I first fitted mine it dropped out of the bracket within the first mile and smashed on the road. I managed to get a new one from Tom Tom and they also sent a leash to attach it to the bracket. If you've not got one with yours get in touch with Tom Tom and they'll send one FOC.

To be fair the one I saw might not have been hard wired, maybe he was using it like you.
I did sit on the scoot and have a play tho and the position it was in was good.

i have had my tomtom in for over a year now. fitted it in the left hand hole @ the side if the tool box.used the origiomal bracket so it charges as you ride. plus i can cover it up when not in use with the plastic cover

Very Happy thanks all for the advice, i mounted it to the lid on left hand side of toolbox using original tom tom back plate but then fixed this to a nokia car kit adjustable bracket so it dosnt stick out too far, but you can adjust it so you can see it clearly, also it can come off when not in use leaving just a small bracket in place on black lid which looks ok. ran power under lid and into power supply already there which works with the ignition, sorted.....now the bad news i think my gts speedo at least 7 mph out compared to sat nav!!!!!! oh well still makes me feel good reading nearly 90mph on my speedo Laughing[img][/img][img][/img]

I was quite surprised just how far out the GTS speedo is as well. It's quite funny when TS1 riders ask you to clock them up, the look of disappointment
when they're convinced they were doing 95 and the GPS is only reading 77!
usually they only ask once, they prefer to believe the lammy 90mph speedo instead. Embarassed
