as others have said, i will gladly chip in for the running costs of a new site if its all add free,its only fair as we all get a lot of knowlage from here Shocked

what are the costs for the new site , and will most of the posts on here go to the new forum, will having a domain name make it easier for people to google the site

If the site changes over fair do`s , i`m sure everyone who can will help with costs - via paypal perhaps ?
the pop ups are a complete pain in the tits Mad

It's gotta be worth doing, I use Google chrome as a browser and it regularly blocks 2 - 3 pop ups each time I visit the site and Spybot always detects malware.

We have nothing to lose moving over, its just gonna take some money, but that seems to be covered with the amount of people willing to chip in... and also time migrating the data, of which im happy to help if need be.

Thanks everyone , and your kind offers of chipping in , you have to remember this at the time was one of the best free forum users to have thats why i went with it but it has got worse and worse and im sure we have lost a lot of people because of all the adds and shit !!! i will speak to Browney over this weekend and see what we can sort out. I'm not computer minded, and therefore do not fully understand all the ramifications of moving Embarassed

But the bloody adverts and bleeping pop-ups are a right pain Exclamation

I use this forum an awful lot. It is always helpful, and there are some really good people out there with a wealth of knowledge and experience. It would be a shame to loose all the previous threads etc.

As for helping with the costs... is there a ball-park figure that needs to be achieved? Could you charge a one-off nominal fee for registering on the site (if you want to submit posts/pics etc) ? .. Just a thought. This would leave all the guests/browsers unable to post (Is that a bad thing?)

I've probably not helped much Rolling Eyes
