You dont see that many vintage red ones about really (and even less now they stopped making them), they're probabley rarer (and therefore maybe more Super) than the Super. The white Super is a nice scoot, and i've been tempted to 'test the water' as well, but it isn't really an upgrade (performance wise), so it's probs another £1500 for some superficial cosmetic changes, and you've still got to shell out for the PM or Leo + screen etc, so a couple of months later, i'm thinkin 'hold on a minute, i got the SAME scrot, + the best part of £2k lighter in the pocket, so i just stick with the tried and trusted and buy another sticker for it Razz

Maybe i should'nt over analyze these things, it's only a scooter FFS Wink

Thing is Smudge, yours is looking cool mate, and it's all your own work, surely if you got a Super, you'd be looking to personalize it the same way that you have your un-Super (or Vintage Super if you follow my logic), just my opinion though (waffling ends...) Question

I take your point(s), I haven't included the PM in the sale cause it will go straight on the 300, the new wheels also. Dark screen for the 300 Cool

You know if I'd owned that scoot from new then well Rolling Eyes I'd prob keep it

You'd be lucky to get 2k from a dealer, mine only offered £1200 on a part ex! Glass guide only puts mine at about £1600-£1900 private sale.

I've done the deal with the dealers (Turners of Merseyside) costing me £1800 to upgrade, not bad as I need a new back tyre Laughing Cool a nice new white un, keeping my screen PM pipe and the other bits like Stebel horn and heavey bar end weights...

Like a few of you have said I'd be very lucky to get that price privately at the moment, so I had to go for it... I guess he must have a buyer lined up.

That is a good PX offer, i was offered only £1300 (book value) 6 mths ago for my silver 55 plate 250 (only 4k miles) against a new 300 . I advertised mine for 2 months at 2k and got no calls, the trouble is that so many people sell them on ebay for the £1500ish or 2kish 4 a low milleage nearly new one. So my advice is take the dealers hand off at £1800 you wont get a better offer in the current economic climate!!! I'm going to keep my 250 and run it into the gound now that appears to be worthless secondhand. Cool
