Headlight peak from Jettin
http://www.jettin.com/Startpage3.htm
I got it cos I thing it makes headset look a bit more trad as standard shape always seems as if cut off a bit short. Looking down from above it ironically makes headset look similar shape to Series 2 lamby!
One fault is that in bright sunlight can get a glare off it! |

Actually it wasn't too much trouble to get front part of headset off if you follow their instructions (they come with peak and are on their web page) You just have to be careful with plastic lugs(is that correct term) that you don't use too much force. Its good to do at home so you can do it at the side of road when bulb blows!
Also they have 2 sizes of peak now (Mines larger) and come in black as well - which should look good with other colours as they have black trim. |

sort of plastic clips - one part of the headset clips into other. If Iremember right after undoing screws and bits (follow instructions) you have to gently - repeat gently put pressure on front part to unclip it from back piece. This was the only slightly tricky bit and just keep gently jiggling it about and it'll come free - resist the temptation to use more force. All in all it took me about 10-15 mins to do and that included 5 mins doing the above. They advise sticking the peak to underside of headset with tape so it holds it in position while you put it all back but this was more fiddly and I just clipped it in and its been fine. Like I said better to practice at home than on side of road! |
