yea but N95 i think is a shit phone loads of gadgets and gizmo's i found when i tried it that applications are slow on it due to it trying to do so many things at once, this technology is only just coming out i suggest wait and see what comes out later this year before you get yourself tied into the old contract.....when this phone first came out i wanted it but i found it a big dissapointment
just my thought anyway _________________ GTS OWNERS CLUB

well rightly or wrongly a shiny new N95 8gb is winging it's way to the massey ferguson infested flatlands of Norfolkistan.................
my initial thoughts on changing my phone was to get a good enough camera phone so i didn't have to carry a camera AND a phone, the N95 has a 5meg camera with flash so it should do the job well enough, if i can install and use tom tom then it'll be a bonus.
got the phone by haggling with voda when they rang about my end of contract upgrade, if i hadn't of had the n95 i was going to go for a sony ericsson k850i 5meg camera but no navigation facility. _________________

well done Mav
the K850 isnt the phone it makes out to be
my N95 was slow untill i did a process called "unbranding"
basically it gets rid of all the rubbish the networks put on
them
and puts it back to how nokia released them
bit dodgy to do though
turned one of my phones into a brick one night
enjoy |

right i have to amit I was wrong!!!! you can install tomtom on a n95 but it doesnt use the internal sat nav reciever, you can use a bluetooth reciever, but there are rumurs that tomtom are working on a version that uses the internal reciever, but subject to further investigation, (my getout clause!) I do think you can co-pilot with the n95's internal reciever, and route66.
Also people have complained about the phone, but as innocenti said about the phone being crap when it first come out, well most nokias are crap when they first come out, i had a n70 when it first come out and boy was that crap, but the last ones to come out were far better, the n95 has been out a while now and should be a lot better than the firts ones! _________________ Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.

going to be sticking with the tom tom mounted on my mirror stem and if i do use the sat nav on the N95 8gb it'll just be for emergencies or messing about in my lunch hour at work or down the pub arguing about routes etc
if anyone is going to mount a tom tom to the mirror stem using a mount like this..........
obviously you need to get the specific one for the tom tom version you own but it will need a reducer to fit, i had one turned from nylon by a guy i work with and he's willing to do more if anyone wants one but they're not going to be cheap and i won't be making anything out of the deal.
i'll do some photos of mine so you get an idea, feel free to copy if you can get it done cheaply _________________

this is my tom tom mirror mount
and it all put together....
the rubber band is an "O" ring i use incase the tom tom decides to make a bid for freedom if i hit a pot-hole.......
the reducer is the white nylon piece....
bolts are left long as the "O" ring hooks over them......
obviously the black bracket part must be for whatever tom tom you use (tom tom one v1 or tom tom go, tom tom 300 etc etc)
tom tom rider comes with a safety loop but as the tom tom i use is designed for use in a car the "O" ring acts as the safety loop, i'd hate to see it bouncing down the tarmac in my mirror _________________
