Any chance of putting up list of route, places we are going to, Razz

dont need links to places just what order we are doing them in , please Wink

Here goes, although Maver has done us proud witha proper Tom Tom route here it is broken down a little:

Day1
Meet at Dover Port at 9am onwards
calais port
D940 (coastal road)
Wissant (some great twisty roads)
Audinghen Cap Gris Nes ( Le Todt Museum) 1st stop
D940 cont (may take in another military museam if enough time)
Bolougne we drive right through along the see front...bit mad !!
D940 cont (some great twisty roads)
War Cemetry 3 miles before Etaples
rue de port 62630 etaples Hotel Bar De L'union ( total 60 miles approx)

Day 2
Travel back up the motorway
Head towards St Omer
Visit La Coupole Muesum (massive V2 launch site) 2-3 hrs here easy
Head down towards Lille on motorway
Arrive at Cobblestone rally

If it was the Beatsugar rally we were going to I'd have booked us into a hotel in a place called Berc Sur Mere just down the road, me and a few mates stayed there a few years ago and went on the lash when we got there, found a cracking bar spent the night getting hammered on all sorts of differnent drinks, walked out at 1am in the mornig to stagger back to the hotel........when suddenly the barman steps out and has a right old grope of my mates arse as he's tying his shoelace.................we then worked out we'd just spent the entire night in the towns "Blue Oyster bar" which unbeknow to us was full of queers Shocked

Must admit it was an shock to me never to be repeated.

I think I must stress one thing about Cobblestone Rally .....it is in the middle of bloody nowhere so visiting Lille is fair way away really and last year some English folks who did not camp but stayed at a travelodge where getting stung £30-40 in a taxi just to take them 8 miles away !!

The biggest problem is (and this is where the fun begins) many of the locals do not even know where this place is so giving directions to a taxi firm would be nearly impossible Confused

Thje saturday afternoon is gonna be a good un as there is a run out ( not my kinda thing normally) but it is to a race track where you can go as mad as you want around......last year they had a guy taking pics who took cracking shots of people getting ther knees down in the bends, so I'm up for a bit of this on the old GTS Laughing

taxi drivers are there to be used and abused if they can`t deliver drunken englishmen.. ... Wink

would like to do rideout, but a few of us are planning a few hours Wink

in lille , taxi charge between 4 will be ok, but will be a laugh[nightmare] trying to get back to campsite

I'm sure you'll have fun what ever you lot get up too .....I'm more worried about glens firestarting habbits as I've heard he likes a good fire....and they do build a bonfire near the tents !!
