|
|
saw this on another forum i use and thought it was a good idea, you may laugh but i've had problems at toll booths with the gloves cash fumble fumble panic drop something scenario so you may laugh but i think it's a spanking good idea
Another useful little tip is to get one of those little change wallets (I use one with a tray formed by the closing flap) which usually look a bit miserly in ordinary shops but you can hand over the whole thing at the booth and let the attendant take what they need. This saves a lot of fumbling with gloves and counting change.
When I've done that the attendant has usually been at pains to show exactly what he was taking from the wallet (the tray thing helps) and they never seem annoyed by it. I suppose it's better than waiting for the gloves to come off, change to be sorted and then picked up from the floor and the gloves to go back on.
i await the taking of piss........ _________________

why do that, I make a point of struggling with my gloves, then forget which pocket my change is in, so check about ten pockets before handing over the money and then do my jacket up and then struggle with the gloves again cos you gotta make sure your fingers are in properly cos you know how annoying that is when your riding down the road, then maybe just maybe someone somewhere might just think that charging bikes at tolls is a bad idea and then just like the QE2 bridge will be free!!!!
But mav i must admit your purse thing would look good on rallies lol _________________ Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.

Both Mersey Tunnels are toll free for bikes, so no need for purse thingy. |

good news that
maybe we should have a sticky post in this section with details of the toll charges (or not) both here and abroad??
might be usefull so we are aware of where tolls are so we can plan for them. _________________
