What would the best one be?
I wasnt a bit more volume (not too loud) & a bit of a deeper sound.
Never looked into 4t pipes before, so some help would be appreciated. _________________ Gilera Fuoco 500ie

I don't know if they do one for the Fugly, but the Leo Vince that Cheeky T put on my MP3 250 sounds nice, but not too loud. I don't have to use ear-plugs, but you can definitely hear it (and so can the traffic/pedetrians, more to the point). It has a nice sound, too - the only thing I didn't like about the MP3 was the sound being too...well...wussy - the LV fixes that, but isn't showy.
Now, it IS too noisey when the baffle falls out, which it did a couple of days ago. It may well have been 'loosened' by a carpark roving scumbag though - I don't think the build is necessarily bad. _________________ Do two and 1/4 rallies mean I'm not a scoot noob anymore? |

Thanks Elementalist, the Leo sound s like just what I'm after, but I was a bit worried about quality after reading your thread about the baffle falling out. Would you have one again then>? _________________ Gilera Fuoco 500ie

I'm very suspiscious that some scrote may have unscrewed it. It does have two bolts holding it on that a couple of days ago I know were fine.
The carpark I left it in had had a friends bike stolen from it and another's stripped of anything not bolted on over the last year.
Had no choice, though - spent nearly 30 minutes cruising bike spaces nearby and had to get to work Thanks Ken/Boris for encouraging alternative transport methods (not) _________________ Do two and 1/4 rallies mean I'm not a scoot noob anymore? |

Elemetalist:
One more thing, did you notice any difference in performance?
Not after an increase, but as long it didn’t effect it in a negative way or anything.
Cheers.
Cheeky Thomas:
Would one of these fit the Fuoco ok, would I need a full system or just the end can? _________________ Gilera Fuoco 500ie

Gains on a 4stroke from just a pipe will be minimal... and what you gain in one area you loose in another.
Open pipes with less back pressure give the less torque but allow more power high in the rpm range, baffled systems like the standard one trade a little topend performance for more low/mid range grunt...
Its always best to try and get an exhaust designed for the specific machine, not just a "it fits" system. |
