Nope, I have not fallen off the edge of the world but I apologize for being somewhat distant.
I was all set to go on the Scotland trip,in particular the `Animals` rally on `Bute. Sadly I lost 2 friends on their bikes just a few days apart! Both crashed and game over for them
Only a couple of weeks ago,a female friend had a crash and lost her right leg above the knee!
As you can imagine,Iv`e been wondering (so`s the missus) about continuing on two wheels,
I made the decision that none of my rider Buddies would want me to pack in because of them,so Iv`e made some changes...hence posting in Darkside chat area.
Iv`e sold my GTS,she was a lovely scoot, never missed a beat and always turned heads.A local lad has bought it and will no doubt be joining this site.I`m sure to see her buzzing around the area as well.
I collect a Burgman 650 tomorrow and am looking forward to riding some good distances including Europe next year.
The Burger has a bit more road presence and higher visibility than the GTS and a bit more rubber holding me to the road. The brakes are awesome and the handling sublime!
I need the comfort as I have a dodgy back so I can concentrate on riding rather than the backache.I`m trying to extend my riding for a few years longer and at the end of the day `two wheels is two wheels`
I`ll still be wearing my Darksider shirt and badges with pride _________________ The Stig rides an Auto so is always in TOP GEAR! |

Thanks for the support.
I can`t wait to get out and about. So far I`m enjoying the Burger, very smooth, roomy and sooo comfortable. It`s got some pace too.Off the lights it`s a rapid machine! She will cruise effortlessly at 85-90 (where allowed of course ) Long distances will not be a problem so I hope you lot are up for Scottish runs or overseas next year.I do like an adventure _________________ The Stig rides an Auto so is always in TOP GEAR! |
