Tried to use one of these when I changed the filter on my mate's Bandit. It was cack! Kept slipping around the filter. Ended up using the old screwdriver & hammer trick...much more satisfying! _________________ 2004 Vespa GT125L

perchance it was overtightened when it was originaly fitted......
monty take note
obviously once it's fitted hand tight give it a check after a few miles and periodicaly after that for peace of mind
giving it 600nm with a 3/4 drive power bar does tend to distort the mating surfaces and cause drips thru the gaping holes _________________

Suzuki recommend there filters to be tight... Very tight.
Screw in by hand until it lightly stops, then 1+3/4 turns more Which when you do it feels painful and your waiting for something to snap...
With Piaggio its just a case of nipping them up... ive got a filter tool, but tend to prefer a wide flat file tip... and use it like a giant screwdriver. |
