It's o/k to jump start your scoot off a car as they're both 12 volts, but under NO CIRCUMSTANCES run the engine on the car while you do this, as the car's alternator will damage your battery. Take the jump leads off as soon as possible.

good tip Cool

if someone were to jump start a gts from a gts i take it there would be no problem running the engine on the donar scooter during the process???

Yes, that's o/k. The problem is with the car's alternator output, it's obviously to high for the scooter's battery, but a GTS to GTS would be o/k. Just be careful disconnecting the jump leads ie : they don't touch anything, or each other.
