just had a speeding ticket thru the door this morning, 36mph in a 30mph zone, it was on the sunday morning in sandford.
anyone else get one modra weekend??

actually i think i do and i couldnt slow down in time either

i'm fairly sure i was zapped as we left the petrol station and headed back towards the caravan park and the main road out of sandford/wareham.
For the alleged offence of EXCEEDING 30 MPH SPEED LIMIT
10:17:22 hours on 16/03/08
at A351 Sandford, Rd Sandford
Recorded speed: 36mph
i can remember giving it a big handful leaving the petrol station and going thru a camera, thinking "bollocks" checking my speed, seeing i was a bit over and looking round at the camera. never saw it flash (it was a yellow gatsco on the left hand side)
oh well, caught, lets hope it's just 3 points and a £60 fine and nothing more...

depends if one of use was a little under that or slightly over
pretty sure we were doing between 40-50 down there

well the ticket says i was doing 36mph in a 30 limit so i was 20% over the limit........
3 points and £60 i reckon
last ticket i had was 57mph in a 30mph 90% over the limit
6 points and £250ish fine
follow me at your peril folks

still on that bastard 6 point thing, do you have to get 6 or go over 6 points to lose it

i got 3 points and a £60 fine

Get 6 points mate, ie you're allowed 5. If you get 6, licence goes out the window.
I've had my bike licence for nearly 4 years, but I only passed my car test a year ago, so I'm still on 6 points for another year yet!

The speed camera detector only works if you look at it, I got a 40 in a 30 just down from Exmouth Tescos last year. lol

It flashes a warning light to let you know there is a camera coming up. But unfortunately it isn't always in your eye line.
