Has anyone lost their brown key? I've lost mine and wondered what the cheapest way is to replace it! Is it just a main dealer job or is there any other ways to get a replacement?
Thanks.

If you pm Cheeky Thomas who is on this forum, he may be able to offer you more definitive advice about obtaining a new brown (master) key if it's possible to get one. If you need spare keys in the meantime, if you take your blue (slave) key to a reputable locksmith, he should be able to cut you a new key and code it for you for the immobiliser. Costs about £20 - £25.

The ONLY way to replace the master key is entire new lock set and new Immobilizer module...

So unless you find it, if the day comes you need it, its gonna be expensive.... how people lose them when they should be left at home, with the paperwork etc i dont understand Laughing

Like has been said, dear god dont loose the key you have left, and get another one cut and cloned to keep as a spare.

(and rip the house apart looking for the brown one)

I have now found my brown key!
Thanks for your advice everyone. The brown one is now in the place it should have been! It had never left the house but just been moved during a spring clean. It turned up with the lego. Laughing
Is keeping keys and paperwork together really a good idea?!! (Think of burglars Twisted Evil )!!

I once had to change a wheel on a car for someone. I asked him for the locking wheel nut key, and he said " It's in the house ". When I asked him why, he said that the car salesman had told him that there was only one key so keep it safe, so he put it in a drawer in his kitchen. When I asked him what he proposed to do in the event of a puncture such as this, he said " I was'nt expecting to get a puncture ". What can you say to that ?. Some people hey, you wonder how they get through life.
