How easy is it to remove and replace the grips on the GTS/GTV?

I have just bought a pair of brown "leather" grips for my GTV and was wondering how easy it is to do.

Will my old black grips from the GTV fit the GT?

removing the grips......

take bar ends off ease up edge of grip, maybe push a thin screwdriver in between grip and bar and spray some surface cleaner in there to disolve the adhesive and ease the grip off, work quickly and you'll probably have to repeat the operation a few times to get the grips off.

think the leather grips come with some sort of grub screw but can't be sure as i've never seen any.

as for interchanging grips between GT / GTS and GTV can't see a problem i think all the bar diameters are the same.

Thanks for the reply. Wink

Soooooo they are just glued on. Am i likely to have problems with the throttle side?

I haven't received the leather ones yet to compare against the stock ones.

the glue is disolved by the surface cleaner which evaporates quite rapidly letting the glue stick again, you can buy spray grip glue if you need more.

as for problems with the throttle side grip, why should you have problems, it's just a grip on a tube....
