Is this normal I am sure it is getting louder but I may be imaginging it but when I first pull off and stop at a junction there is quite a bit of rattling going on, it seems to die down after a while. My friend who is a scooter mechanic seems to think it is the rollers falling in too place, it has a Polini variator fitted with PM tuning 13.5g weights.

Any thought on this one?

It`s the variator, fitted 4 of these in last 3 weeks, don`t worry about it,we fit Malossi 14 grm rollers with polini variator,PM fuel unit and PM68,otherwise you hit rev limiter too quickly and dont forget to leave original spacer shim in as well as the additional one from PM if you are using the Malossi belt. Very Happy If you think it`s still too noisey remove your variator and make sure your rollers haven`t turned when it was fitted.

Thanks for the reply, so nothing to worry about then really, in fact I hardly noticed it today on the ride into work.

Maybe I can pick your brains a little more, I have a PM fuel module waiting to go on, I was hoping to have it fitted the same time as a Leo Vince stainless pipe but I have had to put that idea on hold, I suppose you could say it was a pipe dream, boom, boom.

Anyway back to the PM fuel module, it is worth fitting it in the meantime with the standard pipe and will I embarrass myself by asking a scooter shop to fit it, I mean it does look pretty simple the plugging in part that is, just a bit baffled by setting the settings.
