Forgive me for posting this on a Vespa site, but apart from me and Steve (Innocenti), is anyone else going to Euro Lambretta ?? Perhaps we could meet up for a drink and put names to faces ??

There's about 30 of us going from Liverpool ( including the Irish lads ), some on scooters, and some on Ryanair from Liverpool, and hired minibus at the other end. It's the plane for me this time, as I only have a limited time off work, and the airport is on my doorstep. Our plane leaves at 8pm on Wednesday evening. Will look out for you Steve ( Innocenti ), you should'nt be hard to spot on the tricycle !

Just been let down BIG TIME on our accomodation in Sweden. Last minute panic trying to get somewhere, but we should be o/k.

Well our accommodation guy back tracked, and we got our digs as originally planned. Had a brilliant time, rally was great. Boat trip over to the island for the gala dinner ( buffet ), was a bit iffy. One of our guys got done for speeding in a hire car, £400 instant fine, banned from further driving in Sweden, and had his licence taken off him until he had paid the fine. Lager was £6.20 a pint in 'English' pub, £8 in restaurants. The cheapest we got was £4 a pint. Met up with Steve (Innocenti), from this site. It was great to put a face to the username. Any further questions anyone ?

Getting there was the easy bit. Beer available in supermarkets was only 3.5% proof, and they did not sell wines or spirits. Drank very sloooooowly in pubs, mainly had beer around campfire at our rented house. We took spirits with us. Had been previously warned about cost of beer by Steve ( Innocenti ) who went over before us. It was very funny watching a Thai girl on a parts stall extolling the quality of Casa Lambretta parts to a customer, not realising that it was Tino Saatchi !
