Had my 08 plate GTS for just 3 weeks, and a crack has appeared on my speedo about one inch long .
Is this just a faulty lens or is this a common problem?
Can anyone tell me if replacement lenses are easy to source.

Mine gets condensation in. Something to do with a difference in temperures inside/outside speedo I believe.

Never had a crack appear before.. does it look like its been hit by something??

You cant buy the glass its a whole speedo unit... so warranty! Wink

Yeah some have a habit of misting up, i normally open em up and stick a sachet of silica gel in there to help stop it.

Hi Folks!

I have a series of fine cracks spreading from the top of the speedo lens. They have grown and are about 20mm long. They looklike stress cracks.

I need to get it to a dealers for a warrant claim.

That sounds exactly the same as mine, a fine crack at the top of the lens, which started very small but is now about an inch.
Nothing has hit it, no impact marks at all. It goes in for its first service next week and the dealer says he will look at it then.
But if it's the complete unit it will have to be warranty.

Same for me. A series of tiny stress marks running across the face. Just appeared overnight which i noticed in the morning. It was parked up in full sun the day before.

Just spoke tp dealer, lens is available separately, approx £25.

Apparently the lens though shown as a separate part, is not available separately.

So if you've no warranty left, thats £280 ish

Whole GTS dash is only £138+vat... not quite as bad as £280 Laughing

Problem resolved, finally went into dealer today to get complete speed unit fitted under warranty Very Happy
