Hi as i did not recieve an owners manual with my 2nd hand gts can someone shed some light on service intervals , the scoot had had its first service at 700 miles in dec , it has now done 1800 miles , the old vespa service and warranty book says 2000 miles but i think that is obsolete now . cheers Mark

You need a lube service @ 2k, 6k, 10k etc etc
full service @ 4k, 8k, 12k etc etc
Not sure interval for belt & roller changes though?

you sure about that??

I had mine serviced at 1000km, 5000km and 10000km (I'm pretty sure anyway, not got book to hand)

you'd need it serviced once a month if your figures were true surely?

So to sum up my post you might be wrong, or I might, DOES ANYONE BLOODY WELL KNOW?!!?! :p

Sorry, my post may have been a bit confusing. When I said 2k, i meant two thousand miles, not two thousand kilometres (k is an abbreviation for thousand), for future reference, i never use kilometres, litres, centimetres, euros, centigrade, kilogrammes, kilowatts etc etc, always imperial measurements (our american partners are confused with our language already Wink ).

As its a GTS...

1st service @ 625miles (1000km)

2nd service @6000miles (10,000km)

3rd service @ 12,000miles (20,000km)

4th service @ 18,000miles (30,000km)

... and so on Wink

I've had my first service done at 600 miles, and I intend to have a major service at a dealers every 6000 miles as per the schedule.

But I'll do a oil and filter change at 3000 miles inbetween the dealer services. Cool

Its an old book, must be the 1995 edition with tear out blue pages for servicing stamps... back in the day of that book we had the pre-leader engine and the honda foresight engines in use that ran 20/50 oil and needed it changing every 2000miles.

Modern engines and synthetic oils mean long servicing intervals. Wink
