Looking at a GTS head today, the ports and valves etc are all the same as GT/VX125 so the big valve/spring/cam/porting set up should see similar gains as their is on the 210cc scoots wev'e done the head on.
I predict 4 or 5 bhp gain at the rear wheel and another 4 to 5 bhp from open filter/exhaust and fueling mods which may consist of PM's power commander or maybe not.
I think feuling can be sorted another/better way.
Anyhow if I can't get one to wheelie I'll be somewhat disapointed.
Hopefully the head will be back early next week from CNC machining and we will find out.

Russ.

Who do you think?

Just been chasing round for a bigger injector but there are none according to Webcom.
However I have something else up my sleeve that I'll have to investigate which may negate the need for an injector swap.
Phil, you said to me that you were up near the limit of what the PM box is capable of, well how near exactly?
Could you get another 10% out of it?

Might be worth giving him a ring though, now he's had a look at it. They may be able to do something with it or even an alternative.

OK Phil here's what I'm thinking.

No injector upgrade.

Then lets up the pressure in the fuel rail, just trying to remember how its regulated.
Seems like ages since going on the course but the pump is submerged in the tank so the regulator must be aswell I guess.
Even upping it by 1 psi should see your adjustment come back down to earth.

I'm going to leave the airbox on this one until I sort the injection rate out.

Yes the basic fuel pressure reg/filter and pump are all one unit together sitting in the tank...

But its unlikely that it needs more fuel on the entire rev range, and unlike the adjustable ecu boxes you wont be able to adjust the fueling for different throttle openings.

Within the tolerances of the injector unit, the fueling shouldnt be that far out as the lambda probe should keep the mixture right to a certain degree, although for performance it needs bypassing and allowed to richen up a little...

Sounds like lots of dyno time coming your way! Laughing

It will be nice to know the outcome. Very Happy

Aimed at Russ really...

Have you tried using one of the GPR electronic boxes on a scoot yet? Did you have much success??

The GTS can sort it all out for itself within the parameters its got.
The fact that we are taking it way beyond its parameters is the problem.
What I'm suggesting is not modifing it's parameters, merely fooling it into playing ball.
Giving it more fuel because its getting more air.
The GTS won't care as long as the mixture is within what it can adjust.
The scoot will fight for the stoic mixture and if it's senses too far away from this it throws up a fault light.
All I'm suggesting is doing it without the need for the power commander either by bigger injector or upping the pressure.
Your right about the dyno time but only the first time.
After that its just bolt it all on to the same spec.
