Yup, I'll be taking a ride up from sunny(!) Maidstone straight to the Turpin.

its amazing the number of essex scooterists who refuse to go into london and only do the extremely rare and unheard of ride to the paradise that is southend via the most exciting road in the world, the a12.
"sarcasm off"
I'll be doing the opposite as got stuff to do in the afternoon, but I really think the GLR without going into london is pretty pointless...but each to their own I suppose _________________

I can really understand the lay in bit!
But even though I go through london every day on the scoot its nothing compared to doing it with 500.
And I really hate the ride to southend, its like an episode of scooby do when the same background gets repeated every 2 seconds but for an hour or so...and everyone splits up and it just feels like you're on your own...moan moan moan etc etc _________________

its actually one of the better, most interesting ones, honest!
you meet up in the picturesque regents park, ride through the west end inc oxford circus, regent street, trafalgar sq etc etc. loads of scoots everywhere, jumping red lights to stick together and with tourists everywhere having a field day taking pics and looking on in amazement.
the smell of 2 stroke (and burning clutches) all around you and landmarks everywhere you look...thats why I prefer the london end, theres nothing else like it
shame it ends up in southend though (its not that bad once a year, just a lot seem to end up there) _________________
