I'm 13 stone. Standard on the back at full setting. LeoV gets nowhere near the bodywork. I've got the SP4Y upgrade on the front and this works a treat. Handling is far improved over the standard. _________________ C'mon the Hoops! |

OK mate
To clarify though,I didn't say they spot on either, and Yes I agree with you about the spring being too hard for the damper. But I've had my PM break after hitting a pot hole and the Susp bottom out, and all that at 240 miles away from home. The SP4U springs are a compromise but I still Think the Scoot handles as well as it did with the standard ones with Big Old me on it. _________________

this is all great input and as I said I am a "Fat Bastard" 390#
or 29 stone TWENTY NINE which means I ride TWO UP ALL THE TIME.
I dont have the fancy overpriced pipes to worry about.

Just back from Holland and due to unforseen circumstances(lambretta ) i had to do half the journey two up with all their luggage and gotta say the up rated springs worked great
Dont think i could of done that on the standard springs. |

just read all the above posts on the subject of rear suspension & they give me some answers to my post - Rear Springs + Stuff / General Discussion Points 9/7/08.
However, were not all 17 year old yoofs with 30" waist any more ...mainly thanks to pints of Arthur G and Mrs Chicken Tikka Masala.
2 up my GTS is pulling 30 stones and for a new bike its suspension isn`t what i thought it would be. I see the different replies varing points but i`m now left thinking if heavy springs are the answer. _________________ Oohwallawallah

At the moment they are the ONLY answer and if you have, or are thinking of putting on, a PM pipe they are a must, otherwise you'll bottom out on the pipe and break something. And they are easy to change, scimilar to a px shocker. _________________
