|
|
Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere, but...
I need to remove the side panel badges from my Gts - what's the best way of removing them? I'm assuming they are stuck on, so would the old fishing wire trick do the job without screwing up my paintwork?
Also, is it easy enough to reuse the badges - by just adding more double sided tape - or should I replace them with new items, in which case where can I get some as my local Vespa dealer seems to think they aren't available! |

Nice one, cheers guys.
I'm assuming you just apply the heat until the glue softens?
As for the local dealer - they're a big bike shop and although they are official Piaggio/Vespa dealers I've always got the impression they really aren't all that interested in them. |

Unfortunitly when piaggio decided to try and lift their brand image they pulled the plug on all the small dedicated dealerships and switched to large motorcycle dealers with flash showrooms. Motorcycle shops gladly sell new scooters but loathe carrying out repairs, ordering spares etc etc
I was even offered work by one local dealership because his motorcycle mechanics refused to work on scooters or mopeds!!! |
