Ive got 2200 miles on my GTS and a strange buzzing sound has started when i use my front brake. Last night I looked it over and couldnt find anything that jumped off the page at me which could be causing this. Anyone have any ideas? _________________ When the world comes to an end, I want to be in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, because everything there happens "Ten Years Later" GO XYL's |

Both of the GTS's I've ridden (year old one, and a brand new one) have made this noise. But thanks to my PM pipe, I can no longer hear it! _________________

You will get a little buzz noise as the discs are vented and the holes scrape the pad surface, but it shouldnt get noticeably louder. Give the calipers a good clean, fresh lick of copper slip on the pad backs and see how it is then... |

i get this "buzzing" noise also, just thought it was the pads passing over the holes in the disc, still stops well
still on brakes, my rear lever has always come close to the grip under heavy braking, brake fluid level seems ok, 5000 miles on the clock.......
oh, and get a bit of squeal from the rear brake too, would apply some copper grease to the backs of the pads but it's a real hassle taking the back wheel off to get to the caliper and pads especially with having to remove my modified one piece scorpion _________________

like people said, its cos the disc has holes in it, so makes a noise as the pads go over the holes, the problem is, that the gts is so bloody quiet, you can hear a fly fart just before it hits your visor! lol so you can hear everything that the scoot makes! _________________ Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.
