Phone call today from dealers to say actually they don't know what's wrong with the GTS 300 it's in pieces and they are going through a process of elimination, so I said "when are we going to get it back then?" their reply was well we don't know! So, now they've had the bloomin thing longer than we have, it just gets better doesn't it?

OK if anyones still interested, I've now got to phone Piaggio on Monday and speak to them directly about our GTS 300 as the dealers still don't know what the problem is and they are taking instructions from Piaggio who also don't really know whats going on. Our dealers are getting frustrated and have asked us to speak to the team at Piaggio to try and get the problem sorted. Personally I'm gonna go for a replacement scooter and I want it like yesterday, can only ask can't I.

Too right Slider go for a replacement. You've paid a lot of cash for the scoot and if they can't fix it pronto demand a new one. You have rights.

This raises an issue, if you had traded your daily commuter in, and they had sold it, where would you stand? We all know the GTS 300 is in short supply, so even if they agree to replace it you could still be without transport for the forseeable future. Trouble is if youve paid cash, they are now holding all the aces arnt they? you should at least be given a temporary loaner of similar capacity, ie; if this was a superbike, its no good them offering you a 50cc moped, for blasting up and down motorways, hope it all end well, and soon.

Laughing Quite funny really Blackpool Paul, cos we went today and they gave us a brand new MP3, well laugh, glad I didn't have to ride it! At least we have some wheels now instead of having to use the old P200E or the car (could be very costly in either cases! in either petrol or malossi pistons).

Gotta ring them Monday, we'll see what they have to say.

And the reason YOU need to ring Piaggio is???? Confused

The dealer is the one that needs to be calling piaggio, they have the weight behind there foot stomping, you brought one bike from piaggio, they buy thousands Wink

They need to ring and speak to the new technical department, they will give advice and if they cant help over the phone, they will collect it and fix it...

The dealers have been in contact several times with the tech guys at Piaggio but they don't seem to be making it a priority (Piaggio) and they don't know what the problem is either! I don't mind calling them if it speeds things up a bit and if there is a communication breakdown between dealer and Piaggio this will highlight it and perhaps things will be sorted. I don't care really just want the GTS back!

I would completely reject this machine now Slider, and ask the dealer for a replacement. You bought a faulty product off him, so it's up to him to replace it, not refer you to the manufacturer.
