Hello all
I checked my coolant yesterday and found it was well below minimum,I have noticed liquid drip from the small chrome nipple on the bottom of the water pump could this be my problem or is that some kind of drain valve. _________________ Live Slow Die young !

It sounds like its the most likely cause of the problem, the little nipple on the bottom of the waterpump/stator case is a drain hole for if the mechanical water pump seal fails, so instead of filling the stator case with coolant it dumps it on the floor... if its leaking from there, the waterpump seal is leaking... there was a problem with them and they got modified on later machines, if its under warranty get it fixed, if its not then get the spanners out |

Light blue touch paper and see what happens? Only 1 hours ride from the Lakes/Penrith, all those twisty hilly roads, beautyfull scenery, bags of work for the right person, how can it be wrong? Yes treading on some south easter toes, but what the hey! _________________ GTS250 its the future!!! A club wi owt a name sc. Bamberbridge. |
