Whilst at Cleethorpes a couple of us were contemplating the looks of said rest and thought it would look great on a gts. anyone think they might be able to photoshop something and see if theres any interest?

Saw one on a GTs while doing the London Ride Out a few weeks back.
The owner had cut a flipover backrest in half, widened it and somehow attached it to the standard GTs grab rail.
Thought it looked quite good in a 80's retro kinda way.
Wish I had taken a photo now! |

This is a Lambretta flip over back rest widened with a car jack and welded and bolted to the GTS grab rail, two supporting and strengthening pieces where retrospectively welded in to give more strength. It was then powder coated to cover the welds and I have had fabricated two different back pads, this is the one used when solo and I have a more comfortable one when the wife rides pillion. Once welded it is superb as a back rest plus it has the excellent advantage of acting as a rack for me to bungee camping gear too.
I am totally happy with the practicality of this and the look lends its self to the “old school” that I was kinda lampooning. _________________ Simon Cuerden
