Wish I'd have gone with you Chevy I'm getting into the habit with this leaving tents behind Also found out my scoot was the feature scoot for the rally patch and T shirt but could not find Mr Boland to buy some souvenirs

Here what your saying Phil, caravans/vans and loads of cars.........I for one won't be going again I dont like doing rallies with loads of kids there and it sure was not fun for them camping in tents in weather like that........unless daddy towed his caravan instead of riding his scooter

I had a cracking time. Good to see you Ian, where you go to on way home????
I know what you mean about the cars and vans. It still ceizes to amaze me when you see a motor home with a trailer on the back with a modded up p range that he had the audacity to put into the custom show.
Also the little twats and some not so little buzzing around the camp site on scooters and little mopeds does my head in. Some little kid ran into the back of a car, ended up smashing the rear window i believe. Serves the silly twat right for bringing a car onto the camp site. And hope it will stop the little idiots from screaming around on scooters on a wet rally site.
The rain was a pain at night, bands were shite. But we had a great night, with the Rose of the Shires, Rugby Bear Essentials and a couple of Strange Town Lads. |

And Yea, It's amazing what some people have the audacity to put in the custom show

Id be interested in knowing who actually does their own paintwork, murals, Chroming, engine work and in some cases even putting the scoot back together.
If you were refering to the Bud GTS, then our Steve put it in the show to show it off, most people know it was Phils idea, and Phils work ect. Steve wouldn't dream of trying to make out he done the work himself. But Steve likes the scooter and rightly likes to show it off.
He wasn't trying to win anything, i put my Guiness one in aswell and i know that Steves is far better than mine. We both knew that The RD Auto Lammie would win. Its not just about taking home a piece or tat metalwork you know. |

A Gts or Gt has very little chance of winning best auto if there is anything Lambretta based there in competition, It don't have to be anything spectacular, just an off the shelfer, you won't win when most of the time the judges are up their own arse Trads..........Just my oppinion _________________

I agree with Smirnoff. The Lambretta ones deserve it because of the engineering aspect. But like i said he didnt put it in to win anything. He done it because its a nice scoot and the others kept going on at him to put it in. |
