I have had a close look at the "split" on my seat and the grey/white piping is hollow but one end has a "Peg" on it. I just applied the smallest drop of super glue on it pushed them together for about 30 secs. Job sorted. |

sounds like it's the join in the hollow piping and the peg is the joining "spigot", makes sense as it's got to join somewhere _________________

The Vespa S does actually have the split... on my seat it's beneath the black strap on the nearside. |

It depends what seat you have fitted
The touring seat has a join, the sport seat doesnt.... |
