Sunday 10th August Anybody else going ?

The statement below taken from the EMSA site

The Official East Midland Scooter Alliance ride out will leave the Hurt Arms on the A6 Derbyshire
up DE56 2EJ at 10:00am on Sunday 10th August and head along the A6 into Matlock bath where
a park and social will take place. This is always an awesome sight seeing hundreds and hundreds of
scooters in what is traditionally a biker’s hot spot on a lazy Sunday. Anyone who is familiar with
Matlock bath and its tradition with motorcyclists will know what it means to see 600 + scooters there if
only for a brief period. Camping available see further down the page.

Following on from that, there will be a FREE parts fair and much more at Cromford Meadows the
home of Matlock Rugby Club which is approximately ¾ mile out of Matlock Bath to the traffic lights
and turn left. There is no Postcode for the Rugby Ground or Clubhouse but the nearest Postcode is
Arkwright’s Mill DE4 3RQ which about 100m from the entrance to Cromford Meadows. Map
Reference SK 3035 5685 (Lat 53° 6.5' North - Long 1° 32.8' West). E.M.S.A. will post signs at the
Traffic lights and entrance.

Confirmed Parts Fair dealers so far are
Stalls can be booked by calling one of the E.M.S.A contacts on the contacts page priced at £15.00
per pitch and a raffle prize. Unlimited sizes. Additional stalls will be added to the list on confirmation
of booking.

Ridden Custom Show
Sponsored by Scooter Restorations
This is open to anyone wishing to participate on the day. Just come along and line your beloved
machine up in the designated area. Judging will commence at 1:00pm and the presentations will be
at 1:45pm preceding the raffle draw. The only stipulation is that the scooter must show a valid tax disc
and be ridden on the day. 7 Classes to include:
Best in Show, Best Lambretta, Best Vespa, Best Mod Style, Best Auto, Best Oddity and Best
Vintage.

Matlock Cubs and Scouts will once again be doing a BBQ to raise funds for their respective groups.

Camping is available on the Saturday 9th August
For anyone wishing to camp over to avoid a silly o’clock start on the Sunday can do so by contacting
the Hurt Arms direct on 01773 852 006 where you will need to pre book. This is nothing to do with
E.M.S.A as we do not charge for this but we do meet and greet there on the Saturday
afternoon/evening and stay over for what is a great social night in the pub and then sitting around the
tents making friends and taking the proverbial as one does until silly o’clock. We have negotiated a
reduced rate for camping of £3.00 per person based on a two-man tent. They usually charge £8 for a
two-man tent. When you book please quote East Midland Scooter Alliance Matlock event
Saturday 9th August.

The pub will once again be selling Sausage and bacon cobs, teas and coffees from around 7.30-
8am up until the ride out leaves at 10am.

There is also a Chinese restaurant directly across the road and a petrol station and café 100 yards
away.

Music
Mr Bean will be entertaining the masses and all the sheep that graze in the nearby field with all of his
favourite scooter related tunes at the parts fair.

Pins”N” Patches
Beat the Bikers Pins and Patches will be available on the day at the Hurt Arms, in Matlock Bath its
self and at the parts fair. There will only be a limited number of each available, so seek yours early!
