put new pads in about 1500 miles back still bit squeaky when braking hard also when driving slow can hear them rubbing, all was copsealed etc idea's????? _________________ GTS OWNERS CLUB

The pads should always be in slight contact with the disc, so it sounds like they could just be rubbing on high spots on the disc. Nothing to worry about, as long as the brakes are not binding. If the squeaking persists, try putting a vertical line down the centre of the pads with a hacksaw ( about half way through the pad thickness ). Re-check the copper grease on all the moving parts of the brake caliper/back of pads etc. |
