Just got rid og GT125 (as it was dying) and got 250 with 200 miles on clock, and what a scooter, brilliant
anyway my question is, how do i fit a windscreen to it. I was given one with instructions and i cant see how it fits without taking al the handlebars apart. This cant be right as i can see tubes for the brackets, i just cant work it out (i am a bit thick). And before you ask, it is a cut down tall screen (im old) and its a genuine piaggio |

If it's one dedicated to the GTS then it is fitted by using the two holes beneath the handlebar, one on each side, facing, you as you look at the headlight.
Insert the two chrome bars into these holes and tighten the nut until they are secure.
Top tip: don't tighten the allen bolts that fix the screen to the chrome bars until you've fitted the bars to the scooter.
Hope this helps |

From memory (so don't quote me on this!) longer nut goes on first, then washer, then cone shaped things, , another washer then small nut at the end.
When complete unit is inserted into handlebar, tighten up the longer nut which then squeezes the conical things which grip the metal tube hidden inside the handlebars.
If you have the instructions, it explains this all more clearly. |

I think I still have the instructions, I will look for them in the morning and I will let you know.
I can then either explain via a post here or can fax it Monday if that is preferred. |

Right then...
The big NUT screws onto the bracket first...
Then the BIGGEST cone slides on...
Then the long TUBE fits on...
Then the SMALLER cone fits on...
Then there should be a smaller washer, lock washer and bolt that screws into the end to stop it all slide off... |

er, no, the conical washers squeeze a tube that has slots in each end, this assembly is inserted into tubes under the headset and as the conical washers expand the tube they lock the assembly into the tubes.
