I wrote a while ago that I had fitted a Leo Vince exhaust and unexpectedly lost about 4mph at top end. I put the power lost down to the exhaust and tried out a couple of things to try and resolve it.

Turns out I was wrong to blame the Leo Vince. The other day when hurtling down the A13 at 81mph in the fast lane my drive belt snapped and I had to take emergency action to get to the side of the kermit. So I've now had a new belt fitted and riding it this weekend I'm back up to the max 85mph. So it must have been a worn belt that had cost me the loss in performance and I must have only noticed once the exhaust was on.

You learn sommink new everyday. Confused

i think that was said in your other post, how were the rollers when the belt was done or were they replaced at the same time

Yes that's right but at the time, although I know all about the rollers I was convinced that it wouldn't be them and I didn't see or think that the belt would make any difference. I was wrong. I'll hang my head now and you can tell me you told me so. Embarassed
